Every school day matters! When students attend school regularly, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities, and reach their full potential.
This September, let’s work together to make every day count. Families, teachers, staff, and our entire community all play an important role in supporting good attendance.
🎯 Be Present. Be Powerful. Be Your Best!
Together, we can make attendance a priority and help every student stay on the path to success. 💙

Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is so very thankful for all of our Partners in Education. So many businesses and organizations help provide opportunities and experiences for our students and teachers. Our district partners that each contribute in excess of $10,000 in value to help students are Brightmoor, Chick-fil-A, Dairy Queen, First National Bank, Georgia Banking Company, Marco's Pizza, Piedmont Fayette Hospital and United Bank. Thank you! Many others support the REACH and similar scholarships, individual schools, fine arts, athletics, and more. Some, like Norcom, provide school supplies. Some take part in the Partners in Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament (Sept 25 this year). Others serve as mentors and reading tutors for students. Community churches host events, volunteer at schools and pray for our students and staff. Thank you Griffin and Spalding for supporting our future through public education. We need you and we appreciate you!

Today middle and high school fall Griffin-Spalding County Schools Athletics participated in the Beyond Self Athlete's Assembly, led by Community Partner and Mentor David Johnson. The Beyond Self Athlete Program is meant to grow student leadership skills, build character and improve school culture. Athletes were told they are all Persons Of Influence (POI) and the importance of the 3 R's: Respect Yourself, Respect Others and Take Responsibility. Keynote Speaker Tunji Adebayo Jr. inspired student-athletes to develop the skills and attitudes they need to recognize their potential. He taught the students that everyone is unique and can achieve greatness.

As we continue an amazing school year, this is a friendly reminder that all students are expected to follow the CRMS Dress Code each day. Dressing appropriately helps create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment where everyone can succeed.
✔️ Wear appropriate footwear (Crocs must be in sports mode—no slides or bedroom shoes.)
✔️ Wear clothing that fits appropriately and meets school guidelines.
✔️ Keep shirts, shorts, skirts, and pants within the dress code expectations.
✔️ Leave hats and hoods off while inside the building.
Thank you to our students and families for helping us maintain a positive learning environment where Excellence is the Expectation and Extraordinary is the Standard!

To improve campus safety and streamline visitor check-in, GSCS has implemented the Centegix Visitu Visitor Management Kiosk at all of its schools. Please review the visitor check in procedure.
